Summer@smithofficesolutions.net

Summer Smith has over eight years of experience working with QuickBooks in the construction industry, performing bookkeeping and office management. Before embarking on her own career, and during her high school years, Summer worked for her mother’s (see Lynn’s bio above) service company. She successfully learned how to prepare bookkeeping records for small businesses and was a valuable asset to that organization. When clients asked if she was going to follow in her mother’s footsteps, her response would be “I’ll never be a bookkeeper.” Well, DNA is stronger than teenage rebellion, and Summer found her successful niche in the business world as a bookkeeper and office manager for small construction companies.

At Smith Office Solutions, Summer has many clients for whom she performs various bookkeeping duties including payroll, accounts payable, billing and receivables, bank reconciliations, and preparation of financial statements. She provides quality reports to clients and makes presentations to Boards of Directors.  Summer works with clients to set up their new small businesses in QuickBooks and provides training services.    She is very proud of the diverse bookkeeping clientele that she has accumulated and states that “It has been both challenging and rewarding to work with businesses that range from non-profit organizations to landscape contractors and engineering management companies.” In 2008, Summer passed the exam to become a QuickBooks ProAdvisor, and also became a California Notary Public. In 2009, Summer has recently become the Treasurer for PRAM (Parents, Resources, and More).
